All parents should be notified of center closures and any other changes in a timely manner. Additionally, you should be provided official confirmation of all policy updates. There should also be regularly scheduled meetings between the family and staff to discuss your child’s progress and any concerns.

One of the most important factors in your care decision should be having a qualified, friendly and competent team to look after the children. If the daycare staff is constantly changing or teachers seem unhappy, parents may lose confidence in their child’s welfare. All families should be assured their child is safe and secure with a care provider.
4. Safety & Sanitation Issues
On the subject of safety, child welfare should be the center’s primary focus. Take note of the environment – are there any unsafe toys, poor cleaning practices or a lack of supervision that could put the children at risk? As mentioned, if you express a concern about safety that’s not addressed, it may be time to start looking for a new learning center.
